Please support your child with home reading. Students should be reading at least 1-2 books each night on Raz Kids (or books at home).

Reminders
- Pizza day is Friday October 24 - if you wish to order pizza (includes a snack and drink) please ensure the form and cash are brought to school by Tuesday October 21st. All orders are $6 and an extra pizza may be added for $3.
- There will be no school on Friday October 31st due to PD day.

Picture Day is Tomorrow! 

Students will have their photo taken tomorrow, Friday, October 17th. Picture forms are being were sent home yesterday. The form allows you to select the pose and the colour of the background. If you have not done so already, Please complete and return the flyer by tomorrow. 

Hot soup forms were sent home earlier this week. If you wish to have your child participate in this program please fill out the form sent home and return at your earliest convience. This program is only offered to those students who stay at school for lunch.

Pizza Forms were sent home yesterday. We will be ordering pizza lunch on Oct 21st from Pizza 73. Students will have 4 kinds of pizza to choose from.  The cost of this lunch will be $ 6. All orders and money must be into school no later than Tuesday morning of Oct 21st. Unfortunately orders without money will not be processed. Order today to delay any disappointment :)

As described in yesterday's letter, due to the increase in the number of students we have been able to open two new classes at Vista Heights School. Today, we have created the new classes which meant that some of students have been placed into a new classroom. At this point, we have added an additional Grade1/2 class located in Room 2 with Mrs. Queen. As well, three classes have a more balanced number of Grade One & Two students.

To facilitate the move the students listened to and discussed the book, 'I Like Where I Am' written by Jessica Harper. We have tried to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our stud tens.

Today you will find an order form for a Pizza Lunch which will take place on 

Friday, October 24th.

Please return by next Tuesday morning.

 Orders will be placed that morning, so all orders will need to be in at this time

As we have an increased number of students enrolled at Vista Heights School, we will be reorganizing students to best meet their learning needs. For details please see the notice being sent home. We are sensitive to all our students needs and we will make sure the transition is smooth. Our school has been chosen to be a part of the Calgary Meals on Wheels Hot Soup Program! Soup will be delivered for all students in the lunch program every Tuesday and Thursday starting on October 21 until December 16. Please check the notice for details. Indicate whether you give permission for your child to receive hot soup during the program dates. Please return this form by Friday, October 17 if you would like your child to participate.
