Little Green Thumbs Celebration!
After a year of planting, watering, and nurturing our plants, today we ate the fruits of our labour - literally! We celebrated our year of growing, by having a pita snack with some fresh watermelon. Students wore their little green thumbs shirts and enjoyed the fresh snack outside of the school.

We asked our students a very important question....where did all of these ingredients come from?
Where do cucumbers come from?
Where does lettuce come from?
Where do tomatoes come from?
Where does the pita come from?
Where does mustard come from?

The students were given t-shirts from Little Green Thumbs to remind them of all their learning with the gardens throughout the school year - this t-shirt is theirs to keep!
