Coming home today - our March newsletter. Please note the key dates and information

- March 6th we will be having a free breakfast lunch for all students! 

- March 9 - 13 - Inline skating! If you haven't sent it yet, please sign the release and send the fee as soon as possible

- March 10 - school council at 6:30 - all parents are welcome!

- March 19 & 20 - Student Led Conferences

- March 20 - 27 - Spring Break!

- March 30 - classes resume

What an amazing day! Today the Grade 1/2 students had their sharing assembly. We have spent much time focusing on storytelling including fables, fairytales and folktales. This afternoon we shared some of our learning. Please enjoy the video below of Ms. Toor's class present their version of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. 

Ms. Queen's class showed their own version of the three little pigs using shadow puppets.

Our classes have been working a lot with growing plants with the Little Green Thumbs program. Mr. Beattie’s class has used this experience to create their own circle story.

Reminders

Pizza Day is tomorrow! 

Students who ordered pizza will enjoy it tomorrow at lunch. All students are welcome to eat lunch at school tomorrow! They will be given their pizza order, a drink and a snack. Please still send a healthy recess snack with your child.

Crazy Hat Day 

Wear your craziest hat tomorrow to school! Be creative! As long as we can see your face and your hat is safe, you can wear it all day long!

Sonic Sports Tonight 

When: Every Thursday starting February 19th to May 28th

Time: 6:00-7:30pm

Where: Renfrew Gym - 2050 21st NE

No need to register - just pop in!

Forms due with $10 cash. Thank you to those who have already signed the consent and sent the fee. 

Tomorrow is the day!

Students have been working so hard preparing the storytelling assembly. We're very excited to share it with you! If you are able to join us, our assembly will begin at 1:00pm. 

Ms. Toor's class - Sheep please wear: white clothes, Wolves please wear: black/brown/grey clothing.

Alien Inline skating forms were sent home yesterday. Please review and sign the release forms and send payment with your child as soon as possible. The cost is only $10 for students to skate all week! We will be skating March 9-13, 2015

Reminders: Pizza Day is on Friday! All students are welcome to stay at school and each lunch with their class. Friday is also Crazy Hat Day!

               

Alien In- line Skating forms were sent home. Alien

In-line Skating is coming to our school from Monday March 9, to Friday March 13, 2015. This is part of the physical Education Program. The Alien In-Line program teaches many basic skills based on student abilities. Alien In-Line provides protective safety Gear for all students. If your child does have a helmet please feel free to send it if you would not like your child to wear a shared helmet.

Please read and sign the forms sent home. Please return the forms at the earliest to the school with the money $10 each child or $ 20 per family. 

The Grade 1/2's are hosting the school assembly on Thursday, February 26th at 1:00 pm. All Grade 1/2 students will be performing at this assembly.  All families and friends are invited to attend.

Don't forget Friday February 27 is CRAZY HAT DAY!
