Spring Art

Our grade 1/2 students having been observing the seasonal changes that have been taking place in this spring season. In this art project, students used water colors to paint a sky and landscape background on paper that had been taped to a heavy sheet.

Once dried, branches of trees were created by blowing blobs of brown paint with plastic straws. Spring buds were then added by dotting branches with Q-tips of various colourful paints. Students completed the art by gluing on  cotton ball clouds, budding branches and even a tiny ladybug. Finally, pull off the green tape et voila - instant white borders.

Please view the following samples and check-out our classroom bulletin board on Thursday evening.
