Alien Inline Skating begins on Monday!
Students are welcome to bring their own helmets that can stay at the school all week. Please note, they should not have a face guard like some hockey helmets do. If you do not have a helmet - dont worry! We will have some for your child!

In preperation for our big skating week, we watched the following video which shows how to put on your equipment. Please view this video with your child : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXqdq-yR7tc

Please note: Students who do not have their forms signed will not be allowed to skate.

Today we had a wonderful free breakfast put on by the folks at Ag for Life. Everything from the breakfast was from Alberta farms! We had pancakes, eggs, sausages and milk!

We also met Larry, a farmer from Airdrie. He grows barley and canola oil. Have you every seen a farm that looks like this
This is the plant that canola oil comes from!

Larry was kind enough to give us some Canola and Barley seeds - we're going to plant them in our Little Green Thumbs garden to see what happens!

Ms. Toor's class made a graph of which part of the breakfast was their favourite. Take a look at the picture below: which breakfast food item was most liked?

Most of our students have listened to the story
 'How to Be'
by Lisa Brown

The book is an imaginative adventure by a brother and sister on how to be a bear, monkey, turtle, snake, spider, and a dog, ends with a simple directions on how to be a person. It serves as a great reminder to appreciate all of our qualities.

In writing, we used the text as a model for students to record their ideas. Each student selected an animal and described what they needed in order to be like that animal.
