The Terry Fox Run will  take place tomorrow afternoon, September 26, as part of our 'Vista Virtues' activity day. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions as many of 'Virtue Stations will be outside. 

Each morning, the students will be collecting coins to contribute

 to Terry Fox Cancer Research.

Wild about Weeding!

Grounds for Change offers a free weeding program Wild about Weeding every Fall. We were lucky to get this oportunity, as it offers an insight into successful methods for planning our landscape. Our naturalization area complements our classroom teaching connected to the program of studies. Today an expert from Calgary Zoo came to Vista Heights to lead short lessons about weeds and their identification. We went out to the natural area for our weeding session.

The Grounds for Change program gave our students an experience of working in our natural area. The program translates knowledge into effective integrated learning which maximize meaningful learning opportunities that arise from our natural area.
