Broad Bean Germination

Last week, students put a brood bean 
into a saturated towel and then gently placed it 
into a zip-loc plastic bag. The bag was taped to the wall for easy viewing of the growth.

The students observed that when a seed gets
air, warmth and water, the bean starts to change.
This plant is growing a toot and a green stem is
just starting to emerge. 

This bean is in the first stages of germination,
please discus with your child what they think will happen in the next few days.
