Calgary Public Library Presentation

Today, students learned about  TD Summer Reading Club that is a fun (and free!) program for kids held by participating Calgary Public Library.

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to visit your local library to sign up! You’ll get a free club notebook, a chance to collect stickers, and find lots of fun all summer long!

There's a bunch of cool stuff for you to do here too – so sign in to track your reading, write reviews, tell jokes and more. You can even read books online for free! Happy reading!

                     Release of the Painted Lady Butterflies

Today, we brought the adult painted lady butterflies out to the Peace Garden for their release into the natural area. 

Three of the butterflies cling to the  inside their habit before fluttering off into the morning sky.

One butterfly remains on the container sipping sugar water.
Look carefully to see the proboscis.
