In math we have been learning about symmetry.  The students in room 1 read the book "Seeing Symmetry" by Loreen Leedy. We discovered that there are many things around us that are symmetrical.  Butterflies, people, flowers, and the Taj  Mahal are just a few examples.

We applied our understanding of symmetry to create our own butterfly designs. Notice how both wings have identical patterns.

Enjoy our butterflies!
