'Vista Heights is a S4 School'

Today, Constable Kerri of the Calgary Police Department visited the Grade 1/2 classrooms. She talked about the importance of taking care of each other and how that helped to create safe schools and communities. Constable Kerri shared the tools that she uses as a member of the police force. i.e. flashlights, radios, telephones, handcuffs, etc. The most important tools were using her thinking skills and her five senses to solve problems.
In our classroom, each of us have unique qualities. We use to help ourselves, others and our communities.
Salah created his cool with the qualities of having courage, caring for others and being helpful.
Ilyar shows cooperation, courage and determination.
We can work together to keep our school and community safe!
Please ask your child to think about some of their qualities
and how they use these in our learning community.
