Our students have been further developing their story writing skills. They have been learning how to make their stories more interesting by adding extra details. Today we highlighted two genres of stories: Character/Problem/Solution Narrative and the Personal Experience Narrative. We read the book Going on a Bear Hunt as an illustration of a personal experience narrative. Ask your child to retell the story and ask them how both genres of stories differ.
