In previous posts, we had shared that students have been learning about different plants and their life cycles. In our Little Green Thumbs garden, we have a variety of herbs and vegetables which we hope to eat during the next few weeks. For example, the Purple Peacock Beans have matured and we plan to harvest them tomorrow. At this time, we will cook, observe the changes and taste the beans.

This afternoon, a brief note was sent home with your child. Please read and indicate if your child can participate in the eating of the beans and future food samples. Thank you.

Purple peacock pole beans are ready to harvest.

Ilyar is lost in the garden.

Students are pouring water into the reservoir of  the earth boxes.

One of the sunflower plants is taller than all of the students in our three classes.

On Friday May 15th,
students will not attend school.
as this will be a Professional Development Day,
